Playbook

Levels of Automation Cubed (LOA3)

The goal of the LOA3 project is to develop a Playbook interface and automated planning techniques for the supervisory control of small teams of UAVs.

Playbook-Enhanched Variable Autonomy Control System (PVACS)

Playbook (analogy from sports) with Variable Autonomy Control System (VACS), giving end-to-end control of platforms from simple requests.

Mixed Initiative Control of Automateams (MICA) [SIFT on 2 teams]

MICA was a DARPA sponsored program to apply merged control theoretic and human-machine interaction concepts to principally aerial autonomous vehicles.

Etiquette for Directives Phase 2 (E4D2)

E4D2 utilized SIFT’s etiquette model and existing cultural knowledge to create a test bed for evaluating the effects of etiquette and culture on task performance.

Note: This project is also seen in the Etiquette category

Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE)

Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE) is the platform for the Playbook(R) for Unmanned Systems Initiative Prototype (PUP).

Plan Understanding and Mission Assessment (PUMA)

The Plan Understanding and Mission Analysis (PUMA) tool, supports operators who must understand, assess, and compare plans generated by intelligent autonomy software.

Testbed for UAV Supervisory Control (TUSC)

Integrate a Playbook into a multi-UAV Testbed to support research into adaptive automation for UAV control.

Control of Optionally-Piloted Vehicles (COPV)

The objective of the COPV project was to develop a technique to optimize task allocation between human and automation.

Note: This project is also seen in the Automated Interface Evaluation Tools category.
